On odour specifically
Odour is the environmental problem people report first, because it is the one they can detect without instruments. A pump station, bin room or kitchen extract that smells generates complaints from neighbours and tenants long before any regulator gets involved.
Our method is the same every time. Identify the compound — H₂S, ammonia, mercaptans and cooking VOCs each need a different treatment, and masking agents treat none of them. Find the escape path, because often the fix is a seal, a trap or a fan direction and costs almost nothing. Treat what remains, sized to the airflow. Then verify by measurement after commissioning, not just before.
How to size a system
Match clean air delivery rate to room volume and air changes per hour, not to floor area printed on a box. A purifier rated for 40 m² in a laboratory is rated for considerably less in a room with an open door and six people in it. On the industrial side, capture velocity at the hood decides whether an extraction system works at all.
Frequently asked questions
Is a HEPA filter enough?
For particulate, yes. For odours, cooking smells and VOCs you need activated carbon alongside it. Most of our units carry both.
How often do air filters need replacing in Oman?
Expect shorter intervals than the manufacturer’s European figure. Dust load here is higher. We set the schedule after seeing your first filter change.
Why do fragrance systems stop working?
They cover the smell without removing the compound. Occupants acclimatise to the fragrance and the underlying odour returns to perception.
Can you treat odour without shutting the site?
Dosing and misting installs are usually done live. Extract and scrubber work needs a planned shutdown window, which we schedule around your operating hours.
