The regulatory side of environmental work: assessments, permits, management systems and the reporting your clients and lenders increasingly ask for.
What we do
Environmental impact assessments
Scoping, baseline studies, impact evaluation and mitigation planning for projects requiring assessment before approval.
Permitting support
Preparing and supporting applications to the Environment Authority, including environmental permits and waste management licences.
ISO 14001
Gap analysis, documentation, implementation support and internal audit for environmental management system certification.
Sustainability reporting
Building the data set and the report: water use, waste diversion, energy and emissions, in a form that stands up to scrutiny.
Why this sits alongside the equipment
A permit condition is a design specification. An effluent discharge limit tells you what the treatment plant has to achieve; a waste licence tells you which streams you can legally handle and how often you report on them. Consultancies that write the paperwork without building the plant, and contractors that build the plant without reading the permit, both produce projects that fail their first audit.
We do both sides, which means the number in the report is the number the equipment was designed to hit.
The regulatory landscape, briefly
Oman’s Environment Authority administers environmental permits and the Waste Management Licence through its Chemicals and Waste Management Department. Waste licences run for two renewable years with semi-annual reporting. Vision 2040 has raised environmental performance to a stated national priority, which is changing what government and large corporate buyers ask for in tender documents.
Who this is for
- Developers and contractors needing assessment work before project approval
- Facilities generating hazardous, chemical or medical waste
- Companies pursuing ISO 14001 certification or maintaining it through surveillance audits
- Businesses being asked for environmental data by clients, lenders or parent companies
- Anyone who has received a notice and needs to understand what it actually requires
Frequently asked questions
Do you guarantee a permit will be granted?
No, and nobody honestly can. We prepare a complete, accurate application and tell you upfront where we think the risks are.
Can you take over an ISO 14001 system somebody else set up?
Yes. That is a large share of this work — systems certified once and left to drift until the next surveillance audit.
Is this separate from your equipment business?
Commercially yes, technically no. You can engage us for consultancy alone with no obligation to buy equipment, and the advice does not change either way.
